May 9 - Congressman Pallone's next “Democrats Unite!” party building meeting at 7 PM in Middletown.  We’ll be meeting at the Leonardo First Aid Squad at 36 Viola Ave., Leonardo, NJ 07737 and I hope you and your members will be able to attend.  In addition, we’ll be screening the Gubernatorial Democratic Primary Debate right after at 8 PM​.

May 10 - 8:30 PM Horseshoe crab monitoring at Many Mind Creek, where it flows into the bay in Atlantic Highlands

May 10 - 6:30 PM Representative Thomas McArthur not only voted YES to repeal the ACA, but he inserted extremely harmful language into the Trumpcare bill passed by the House yesterday. However, he is holding a Town Meeting on Wednesday, May 10th at 6:30 p.m. The “event” will be at John F. Kennedy Center, 429 John F. Kennedy Way, Willingboro, NJ. 08046.

May 13 - Lenape Woods Clean-up, 10:00 AM - Meet at Ocean Blvd. and East Highlands entrance, sponsored by AH Environmental Commission, bring gloves, rakes, shovels -- trash bags and water jug provided (bring re-usable water bottle to refill)

May 13 - 9 a.m. - Persist to Resist - People's Motorcade at Bedminster Golf Course. This is a lot of fun. Take your car. Decorate it - or get there 15 minutes early and there will be folks from NJ Working Families there to help decorate it. This is the perfect activity if you are not a walker, or if you want to bring your kids. We drive around the Trump Golf Course and make it known that he isn't welcome in NJ. May 13 - Phil and Tammy Murphy are organizing a Women's Action Forum on Saturday, May 13th. May 21 - members of the GRBWI will host the first of a two-part Family Drive presentation by Del Otro Lado to help local immigrants obtain Power of Attorney documents to protect their families. Del Otro Lado (“From the Other Side”) is a group of students whose mission is to become a bilingual resource network that serves the Latino community.

May 24 or 25 - Volunteers needed to help clean up the Navesink River! Join the Citizen Water Monitoring Program.  Training Sessions: May 24, 2017, 6:00 pm at Red Bank Public Library, followed by field visit to a nearby location. June 21 - 7:00-9:00 PM,  Jim Keady's campaign kickoff for US Congress!  He is running against Chris Smith to represent District 4 (which covers many towns in Monmouth County+). It would be great to get Smith out of office, and Keady is a great candidate to rally behind.  

June 21 -   If you cannot make it to Jim Keady's campaign kickoff:  please join us at the Sandy Hook beach concert on Wednesday June 21. The hope is that some of us can meet and mingle while enjoying the FREE and fun beach concert. The concerts begin at 6:00 PM at Beach E.  Arrive as early as 4:30 or 5:00 and look for an Indivisibe Bayshore lawn sign close to where I set up camp. As you approach beach, turn LEFT  and then walk quite a bit,along the beach heading NORTH. Obviously---this event depends upon the weather:)

August 16 - In the aftermath of the tragic events in Charlottesville, Va., Clergy & ​Community ​Leaders ​of Red Bank & surrounding Communities​ will ​host a Community Unity Walk & Rally on Wednesday, August 16th @ 6pm. The community is invited to gather at the Red Bank Municipal Bui​lding Parking Lot (Monmouth St. across from Count Basie) and walk in unity to the ​​City P​ark on the corner of James Parker Blvd and Shrewsbury Avenue, ​where ​ a rally of community solidarity ​against hatred, bigotry & racism will take place. Prayers of remembrance for those civilians & law enforcement who lost their lives and those who where injured will ​be part of the event .
